Butter Cookies

I have no appropriate experience of baking cookies on my own.
I had a few baking experiences with my Nenek before and since it was with guidance the result was definitely delicious, Alhamdulillah.

Well, recently I wanted to broaden my cooking 'expertise area', I wanted to try bake biscuits. It was all because I stumbled upon a-very-easy-you-can-close-your-eyes-while-baking kind of recipe, so I excitedly decided to try.

I can still recall the joy and excitement I contain while I was preparing the dough. I even visualize in my mind that my family would praise my cookies and how (simply) talented I am in baking.

(perasan kan?)

Anyway, the result.

tada!!

Ok, you guys can laugh. It's not like I can hear you.

:p

Tell you, I cried.
I was facing severe devastation & frustration.

(mengadakan? I know)

In my mind : "wuuaaahhh! penat je perasan awal-awal, sekali tak jadi."

But still, out of reasons, instead of dumping all the hideous looking cookies in my trash bin, I tasted it.

MasyaAllah! It's edible!! (hehe). The biscuits were still crunchy, the choc chip was nicely warm and soft, only the bottom part was a bit struggle to bite.

:p

Even my family agreed it was nicely bake, you know for a 1st timer.

:)

They made my cookies their snacks, & I was deeply touched.

I learnt just a lot from this experience. I genuinely feel Allah has taught me a great lesson.
Somehow I felt, my effort was rewarded by Allah rather than my achievement . Thank you Allah for instilling in me the strength and courage to explore my abilities. For not because of you, I may never know.

I love you Allah.
