MasyaAllah I'm so excited as InsyaAllah I'm going but not as participant but as volunteer. Twins of Faith is organized by Mercy Mission. You can check the details of the event at

I was informed they are doing this event to collect fund to build home for reverts and school in Malaysia.

Therefore, the money you use to purchase the ticket will be your saving for your akhirah insyaAllah.

I actually like to share my 1st volunteer meeting with Mercy Mission.

One of the sharing is simple mesmerizing.

It's from Aunty Zai (one of the Mercy Mission volunteer. Allah has given her 25 years of experience in volunteerism so her explanation insyaAllah will really help me in this field as well, amin. She elaborate things help me seeing this duty the way a Muslim volunteer should see)

Prepare your notebook Khalifah.

Mukmin Volunteer Requirement.

1. First of all - correct our niyah (nawaitu). We are volunteering solely to gain Allah's pleasure, insyaAllah.

2. Obey your leaders, as each assignment will be led by someone.

Listening to our leader will insyaAllah help to smooth the program.

3. Be patients.

Participants are all different in 'colors' - not all are 'white' some can be 'gray', 'pink', 'blue' and so on.

4. Be happy all the time.

Yes, the duty / task can be exhausting and challenging but being "mengada-ngada", unhappy, complain things wont help you settle things.

5. Respect others.

The respect should go to everybody not just the VIPs.

Remember : the way we treat people reflect our manners.

6. Be humble, polite, sincere & transparent.

- Don't give false hope to the participants : meaning, we have to give them info that are according to that moment in a nice & polite way.

7. Smile

(it should be coming right from your heart)

8. Communicate clearly

but before you can do it, you have to listen well so the info given is exactly what the participant needs.

9. Maintain integrity

10. Always stay +ve

12. Be on time

we don't want to trouble others

13. Be professional

working according to the work procedure

14. If you feel unhappy during work

do lots of Zikrullah.

15. Be forgiven & always istighfar
